Malta Day-UK - In the past eighteen years this Event, commemorating the feast of Our Lady of Victories had been held under the auspices of the Malta High Commission in Westminster central London. This was conducted with the collaboration of other Maltese associations in which the Maltese Culture Movement played a major role. To our disappointment this year it has been decided that only the Mass will be held under the auspices of the Malta High Commission. We, as a community-orientated organisation feel that this will fall rather short without the Maltese Fair and the concluding Gala Dinner and Dance collectively included in the overall celebrations under the same auspices as in previous years. As such we are considering holding alternative independent festivities in Waterlooville, to commemorate this wonderful feast so dear to the Maltese hearts.
This Even will be held on Saturday 14th September 2019 in Waterlooville. – Full details of the programme will be announced later. For this event we are now looking for local persons to come and assist and participate as Statue carriers, flag bearers, Characters in Maltese costumes and general helpers.- A fantastic opportunity to get involved and experience an insight of this significant event. All those interested please contact us
